What do the 315 and 74 scores mean?

These are Tasmanian ROI ranking scores, based on state priority attributes. Federal SkillSelect points are assessed separately. These figures are results for this round and can change in future rounds.

Migration Tasmania verifies priority attributes and uses a six-week rolling average. If unsupported claims bring the revised score below both the latest round’s low score and that average, the application will be declined. Gold pass applicants who cannot substantiate the Gold attribute will be declined regardless of total score.

What should applicants do next?

  1. Check your pathway. Compare the Tasmanian skilled employment, skilled graduate, established resident and business operator pathways. Check the nomination criteria.
  2. Check both records. Your federal SkillSelect Expression of Interest and Tasmania’s ROI are separate. Verify your claims and keep evidence ready.
  3. If invited, check your deadline. Migration Tasmania says a nomination invitation is valid for 28 days. Read the application steps.

Frequently asked questions

Does an ROI invitation mean my visa is approved?

No. It allows you to apply for Tasmania’s nomination. Home Affairs assesses the visa separately.

When is the next Tasmania invitation round?

Migration Tasmania says it issues invitations weekly under the 2026–27 program. The 5 November update did not specify a separate date for the next round. See the program update.
